A Nocturnal Telehospitalist is a qualified internal medicine physician who specializes in acute care of hospitalized patients and delivers services remotely using interactive live audio and video conferencing tools. Our Nocturnal Telehospitalist program is best suited for hospitals that need nighttime coverage only.
This model is best suited for Acute care hospitals, Rural Hospitals (49 beds) or Critical Access Hospitals with an average inpatient census of >8-10. This model has an inhouse NP or MD during day time integrated with a night time Tele-Hospitalist.
We also provide a 24/7, 365 day coverage for an inhouse hospitalist program where no Tele-Hospitalist coverage is utilized. Typical clients are acute care hospitals with an average daily census of over 40-60 per day.
Our team of Psychiatrists provide in-patient psychiatric care and ED consults through videoconferencing. Our typical clients are acute care hospitals with in-patient psychiatry units with beds ranging from 6-30. Depending on the census, we create a model that can involve only Tele-Psychiatrist for census less than 10. For inpatient average census >10, our model is to have an NP / MD inhouse rounds during the day time and Tele-Psychiatrist during evenings and night time. We also have options to provide night coverage only.
Our Tele-Cardiologists provide night time coverage for ER consults (Decision making for Thrombolysis or Primary PCI for STEMIs etc), Admissions, Facilitating Transfers to higher level of care. Cardiologists will be able to read Echos, EKGs, Stress tests etc. They provide consultative assistance to ED docs, hospitalists and other inpatient providers to help determine if a patient can be retained and treated at the hospital. (ex: Critical acccess Hospital). We also provide overnight cross coverage for cardiology groups for rural hospitals (49 beds) and acute care hospitals ranging from 100-500 beds (On call Interventionalist is needed for hospitals accepting STEMIs)
